The 7 Gateways of the spine are the main assessment tools used in Spinal Flow. Each gateway holds different symptoms and stories of an individual's life experience, particularly with stress.
Art, Philosophy & Science of Spinal Flow
We use palpation touch to examine spinal blockages and connect with access points that directly communicate with the brain, bringing about Spinal Wave. The 7 Gateways of the spine surround the nervous system, including the spinal cord, spine, and brain. The body is an amazing healing machine with the innate intelligence to heal itself from physical, emotional, and chemical stressors. The anatomy of the spine, and its intimate connection to glands, organs, and tissues throughout the body are the basis of Spinal Wave.

It is essential that there is ease and full movement in each gateway of the spine for your health and healing to occur. When there is full movement and flexibility, the nerves signals can flow out and supply the organs and cells of the body resulting in optimal health and wellbeing.
The 7 Gateways of the spine are the main assessment tool used in the Spinal Flow. Each gateway holds different symptoms and is linked to the spinal level, and nerves supplying the major organs, tissues and glands in the body. Blockages in these gateways manifest in symptoms of pain, illness and disease.
Blockages are stored and held in the spine and typically need a Spinal Flow practitioner to help release blockages by touching the defined Access Points of the spine. These blockages - physical, chemical, and emotional - are stored in the 7 Gateways of the spine. They can be primary or secondary blockages.
The Spinal Flow has three forms - breath flow, sensing flow, and moving flow. By contacting the access points, blockages are released from the spine which enables more Spinal Flow to move through the body. The fewer blockages, the more Spinal Flow Wave becomes available to flow through the entire spine.
Spinal Flow Technique practitioners may see multiple clients in one healing session and will use the 7 Gateways of the spine to assess where spinal blockages are held in the body. Spinal Flow Technique focuses on what’s already working in the body rather than trying to treat pain, aiming to spark healing at a deeper and more fundamental level. What sets Spinal Flow Technique apart from osteopathy, physiotherapy and chiropractic is its ability to restore a person’s body to wellbeing and the positive areas that already exist within the body. Instead of ‘treating’ or ‘fixing’ issues, Spinal Flow Technique uses the 7 Gateways of the spine and the 33 access points to send a message to our master controller – the spine and nervous system – to release spinal blockages.
3 sessions per week to begin, reducing to 2 sessions per week and then finally 1 session per week. Regular sessions can follow for maintenance.
Just like when we experience a fever, the body is healing itself. Likewise, the brain connects with the body and the healing process begins with Spinal Flow. As practitioners, we do not heal you, rather, you heal yourself.
Using transformative touch-based therapy which releases stress and blockages in the 7 Gateways of the spine. The Spinal Flow practitioner will assess the 7 Gateways of the spine to diagnose spinal blockages and will then make contact with the 33 access points to allow the body to heal.
Every person responds differently to Spinal Flow treatment. Some people may feel completely relaxed, others may feel emotional, a feeling of being a little 'spaced-out', or you may feel slightly dizzy or nauseous. It is recommended that you drink lots of water after your session as your body will be going through changes. Symptoms may appear to get worse before they get better, this is the body healing itself.

What is Spinal Flow Therapy?
We are the first clinic in the North East, to offer nervous system healing using Dr Carli Axford's unique Spinal Flow Technique. Dr Carli Axford developed Spinal Flow after spending over 20 years' research, observation, and clinical success in chiropractic, including working at the world-renowned Texas Back Institute.
Spinal Flow derives from chiropractic science and does not “fix” or “treat” problems, rather it enables the body to connect with its internal wisdom to heal and release spinal blockages using the access points of the spine. It is a healing modality that works with the brain, spinal cord, and spine and is based on the 7 Gateways surrounding the nervous system. Spinal Flow delivers Life Force Energy throughout your spine and communicates with every cell in your body, bringing about healing from the body's innate intelligence.
Our certified Spinal Flow practitioner Kerry Quinn, has advanced knowledge of the 7 Gateways of the spine and associated access points of the nervous system to release physical, emotional, and chemical stressors. The technique is also known for relieving symptoms such as anxiety, stress, depression, headaches, earache, tinnitus, sore necks, shoulders, backs, hips, and knees, sciatica, digestive issues, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, Parkinson's, sleep disorders, and more.

Christmas Holiday: December 23rd 2024 until 6th January 2025
Spinal flow uses touch, palpation, anatomical postural assessments, and the 7 Gateways of the spine to locate and release spinal blockages. Tests and assessments help to identify stress, and how long it has been in the body.
A Spinal Wave is inside every human body, waiting to connect our brains with our nervous system. The body has an innate intelligence to respond to the demands of the world around us. Everyone has either a breath, movement or perception Spinal Flow Wave. The Spinal Wave brings breath, flexibility, and ease to the body. You move from lack of Spinal Flow to the Spinal Flow when Life Force Energy moves through the spine and body, and connects with all cells in your body together with each and every breath.
